MILLIE WordPress Developer

MILLIE is looking for a talented WordPress Developer to join our team. Our ideal candidate can understand both the front and back end of the WordPress platform, develop a custom theme, and integrate other software platforms via an API. We are looking for developer that can take the intent, assess the best course of action, communicate effectively, and implement.

Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize fresh ideas while executing current tasks
  • Maintain our branding guidelines in development
  • Develop digital experiences that are production-ready and cross browser/device compatible
  • Communicate with team members at both a technical and non-technical level
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and timelines
  • Knowledge of latest trends in web design, techniques, and emerging technologies
  • Provide accurate estimates for scope and timelines of projects
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new and changing technical environments as well as strong analytical, problem-solving,and quantitative abilities
  • Self-motivated, highly creative problem solver
Skills
  • Proven web design and interactive development experience
  • Extensive knowledge of standards-compliant CSS3 and HTML5 for the creation of responsive websites
  • Working experience in writing/modifying JavaScript and jQuery
  • Creation of design concepts and wireframes for desktop and mobile
  • Custom WordPress theme and plugin development (PHP).
  • Knowledge of SEO techniques and best practices for Web usability
  • Has worked with Responsive Web Design frameworks
  • Testing for cross browser compatibility to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Working knowledge of relevant Adobe Creative Cloud applications

This is a contract position starting at $25-40/hour.
