About
Pace is a small suburb of Pensacola that has an “out in the country” vibe, yet is still close enough to the city to stay connected. This growing town is a 45-minute drive from the beach and has forested land, homes on some acreage, and more “bang for your buck.” A huge perk that draws military families to Pace is that it’s midway between NAS Pensacola and Whiting Field (roughly 30 minutes each way). Many in training will find themselves commuting to either or both installations, so Pace is an easy middle ground.
Life in Pace is quiet and calm, but there are enough amenities in town to keep things uncomplicated, like Target, Walmart, and a few restaurants. Anything you find lacking can likely be found 20 minutes away. There are plenty of outdoor activities and recreation programs for kids. The schools are more highly ranked than those in Pensacola, which attracts many military families to the area.
Neighbors
Pace is home to a variety of residents, but a good percentage of them are military affiliated. Retirees love the area and there are many medical providers nearby as well.
Neighborhood Feel
Pine forests and large lots are common. The subdivisions are few and far between, and actual neighbors are scarce in this rural area. As the focus is shifting to this quiet suburb, developers are working hard to keep up with the demand. There are some existing subdivisions, as well as new ones offering custom home sites.
