Naval Support Activity Panama City is perched on the picturesque St. Andrew Bay. This installation began as a mine countermeasures station but now serves primarily as a research and support base. Deep-water access to the Gulf of Mexico is ideal for its waterfront ports, dive training missions, and salvage training. The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC), and the Navy Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU) all call Panama City home.

NSA PC is in Panama City, which is considered the “town side” by locals. Panama City Beach (PCB)—or the “beach side”—is just across St. Andrew Bay. Base housing is available but limited on this rather small installation, so a lot of people look to Panama City, PCB, or Lynn Haven when choosing where to live.
