About
Follow the Severn River northwest from Annapolis and you will reach Crownsville. This small town is close to Annapolis but offers quiet living, great schools, and beautiful vistas.
Crownsville has great water access, but use of the beaches and marinas in town is limited to those living in the beachfront communities. For those with homes with water access, boat docks are often available for very reasonable fees.
Many of the older neighborhoods along the Severn River were originally built as vacation homes, and are now used as year-round residences. There are reasonably priced properties to be found in these established areas. Newer neighborhoods offer beautiful homes with modern style, but often come with steep price tags.
The Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds are located in Crownsville and host the Anne Arundel County Fair each September and the annual Maryland Renaissance Festival in the summer. Both events draw large crowds.

Neighborhood Feel
The area is a mix of old and new homes. Many communities have “water privileges,” that is, access to beaches and marinas for residents.
